Carpooling

Yesterday I was fortunate to get a foto of a 3rd world style of carpooling. I never would have thought a 50cc scooter could handle so much. You can't get much more person per gallon to gas used ratio.

Near Miss

Sorry I haven't been posting much lately. I have been busy ironing out the details of my new show BUZZ. Many exciting developments that I can't share with you just yet. Remember, "Patience is a virtue".

If you have seen any of my fotos then you know I am not a professional photographer, so trying to capture a thing of beauty such as the 3 wheeled bike in action from a moving vehicle you are operating on public roads is not the easiest thing.

I remember a George Carlin bit about airline travel and all of their funny wordage. Like if 2 planes almost hit each other in the air they call it a "near miss" when it is actually a near hit. A near miss is a hit.

I thought I should share a few of my near hits.
These 1st 2 fotos are of the same lady and her napping child.
I would have never seen what she was carrying
had I not taken the 1st foto.

My trip to San Fransisco del Rinco to purchase a few
costume items for BUZZ would have taken all day if
I tried to get fotos of all of the cool things I saw.

Climb Up The Pole

They have been painting the electric poles around the Panoramica and yesterday they were in front of Casa Verde so I grabbed a quick foto. These poles are at least 35 feet high. Just climb up the pole with your paint can and get started.

I took this foto from a wall about half way up
the pole. That's a Victoria beer truck zooming
by behind the bushes.
For more fotos of brave men on poles check out my earlier posts: Pole Dancing in October 2010 and Power Lines in August 2010.

Jacaranda

As I have said before I love trees. The Jacaranda is about as beautiful tree as there is. This is the Jacaranda's time of year and I enjoy seeing them peek out from all sorts of locations.

In Guanajuato the Jacaranda is everywhere.

Not sure what kind of tree this is but it's pretty.

I love the natural splashes of color.
The bright purple in the middle is a buganvilla.

These guys are wondering,
"What is that crazy gringo taking a foto of?"
